Aeron's self-titled EP is a serene exploration through sound shadowed by a slightly mysterious aura. Ambient and cinematic, the EP seem to make an interesting exploration of personal and external myth.
Wyn Evans of the UK brings us this mysterious and concise self-titled EP. Taking a minimalist approach, Aeron - pronounced eye-ron - builds an ambient atmosphere of layered synths that kindle a peaceful energy. Punctuated by punchy kicks, the EP resonates with poetic tones that thread myths through its sonic verses.
Wyn says these verses are inspired by the natural beauty of the Aeron valley in Wales, which he quotes the poet Dylan Thomas describing as "the most precious place in the world". The songs seek to capture serenity, changing seasons, and the passing of time. Beneath the surface there is reflection, hopes and fears, but it's the beauty which prevails.
