Trills returns to Archaic Horizon with his latest work, "Fetal Discoveries". This time, Jonathan Jindra offers thematic imagery rendered through his energetic and unmistakable style. Fluorescent sonics create alluring and vivid impressions.
Guided by iridescent synths swirling about an incandescing playground of beats, we are induced into the sonic narrative that is "Fetal Discoveries". Narrated by harmonious melodies and the sounds of psychedelic experimentation, this album is rich with a personifying timbre.
Appropriately opening with "Embryo", the track begins with fluorescent sonics that gyrate in a sea of ambience, thereafter blossoming out from lively, fluid currents. The title track, "Fetal Discoveries", filters organs through fluid, warm distortion and melds them to effervescent signal noise. Jittering with more electricity, "Savasana" is a melee of glitchy charged beats, bombarding swells of electrical currents, and warm melodies.
This beautiful sonic narrative flows from song to song, greatly enlivened with Trills' infused and energetic style. He has injected even the softer ambient songs with electricity, creating a brilliant depth and character in each synth. Add to this an alluring, projected and thematic array of imagery and "Fetal Discoveries" becomes a memorable album that won't be easily forgotten.
