Frequent C's "Broken Sun EP" is a psychedelic exploration of analog synths that flare like heat waves of the sun. These dizzying effects along with field recordings make for a perfect mixture to be absorbed through conscious and unconscious thought.
Josh Walund's "Broken Sun EP" is a sonic psychoactive produced through rich stereophonic synths that flow and decay. At many times the EP is dizzying and spinning with psychedelic effects that merge a naturalistic environment with the peculiar and unlikely.
The delicate fluttering sound of "Leaves Falling in Reverse" mixes our senses in a bizarre but soothing impression of synesthesia. Echoing the cover in its bold and saturated colors is the title track "Broken Sun" which pours out a rich flood of warmth through synths that phase like solar heat waves. "Skyward" brushes a hazy wash of sun-drenched colors over enriched analog chords.
"Broken Sun" in its whole emphasizes the mysterious and psychedelic by merging both organically evolving tones with puzzling dream-like sonics. The EP offers not only upfront satisfaction, but subtle nuances in songs like "Spinning in the Field" to be explored through the subconscious.
